Thoughts For Thursday: Coffee Break & Study
Sounds boring doesn’t it? That’s because it is. But hopefully my end result from all this studying will not be as boring! We all know I run. I love running and racing. But what some of you might not know is that I’m currently a Certified Pharmacy Technician working at a busy retail chain.
I like working with people and I enjoy staying busy. However, there’s only so much I can do in the means of actually helping people. Medicine definitely has a place and a purpose, but more often than not I feel like I’m pushing the pills and aiding in habits and ‘bandaid’ methods.
My desire it to help people live life.

I want to be a part of the preventative aspect. Insert currently studying to become a Certified Personal Trainer here.
My goal is to become certified by January 2015 and start in a gym, then launch my own business by 2016.
I plan on grabbing other certs like nutrition, sport specific like running specialist, women specialist, and possibly elderly specialist. Maybe throw in a yoga cert too. So I have options. I’m also curious about becoming a running coach and what that would entail. Have you heard of RRCA, Road Runners Club of America? They only host classes in certain cities on certain dates. And the cost is a bit high so I’ve had some difficulty getting to one; but it’s on my list!
I want to know, what’s on your ‘list’? Any goals or career moves on your end? What flavor coffee are you drinking right now? Do you drink coffee?

The words “I am” are potent words; be careful what you hitch them to. The thing you’re claiming has a way of reaching back and claiming you. – A. L. Kitselman
